Meet Andrew Hunter, Systems Engineer V

Andrew Hunter, Systems Engineer V

Andrew Hunter has discovered an integral support system at Lakeland Regional Health.

And he’s not referring to the outstanding work of the HelpDesk.

“I’ve been working at Lakeland Regional Health full-time for about a year now, and it’s a really great work culture,” said Mr. Hunter, who worked for the Florida Department of Health for 14 years before advancing his career as a Systems Engineer V at our organization. “We’re all supportive of each other. Nobody loves standing by themselves. Inside of work, we’re very close.”

Mr. Hunter works typical daytime hours helping with the health system’s server infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, virtual application delivery and networking. He is grateful for the challenges and opportunities he encounters each day.

“The infrastructure at Lakeland Regional Health is extremely advanced. I have discovered tremendous opportunities to learn here in this environment. It’s nice to be exposed to all the technologies here and receive continuous on-the-job training.”

Lakeland Regional Health’s Information Technology department is large enough to use state-of-the-art technologies but not too large to place value on each individual’s contribution.

“It’s a great environment to learn and grow in.”
